I feel that getting on with your photographer is something that is always overlooked. On your big day, I am there to capture the full story of your wedding in its true nature, from start to finish. To be able to do that I need to immerse myself within your day as a whole. Finding that happy medium between taking a step back and letting the day flow and knowing when to get right in the mix – this begins with a connection between the couple and the photographer. No-one wants to ever remember feeling awkward on their big day and I believe my flexible approach fits around everyone.
My background in photography started just after I horribly failed two years at college. I picked up the camera soon after and then the year after enrolled onto an Art Diploma course at Colchester Institute with the intention of studying photography at University the year after that. I studied at Hertfordshire University and after three years achieved my BA(HONS) Degree in Photography. I graduated in 2014 and have been working within the wedding industry ever since. I absolutely love this field of work!
Photography. Obviously top of the list! I have an ever-growing set of cameras, I will almost always have at least one me. I shoot weddings using Canon 5D MK III’s and I shoot most of my travel stuff with my little Fuji XT2.
Ipswich Town FC – A few seasons back I was one of the club photographers at the football club I have supported my entire life has been an absolute dream. I love being able to play from time to time as well.
Film & TV – Star Wars MAD. LOTR, anything Tarantino, The Grand Budapest Hotel or anything with some sort of superhero involved. All over Netflix/Disney +/Amazon Prime – send me your recommendations!
Music. Can’t beat a gig. Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Don Brocco and Bring me the Horizon. Just about anything but I’m a little indie kid at heart.
Video games. Bit of VR. Challenge me to a game of COD. I dare you (I’m rubbish).
Travelling. Everyone should have a long bucket list of travel destinations! Next on the list for me includes US west coast and Vietnam!
Running. Nothing overly serious at the mo, but I have survived the London Marathon as well as a fair few halves.
Food. Mainly the eating part. Love of a good spice kick. My one and only weakness is a Five Guys burger, oh and a Cinnabon. Sweet sweet Cinnabon.
